Twister went for his post-op for his second surgery at 8:45am, Allan took him. GREAT news all the way around from it!!! He is able to hear some from his left again, his hearing loss is back at a minimal level and will hopefully stay that way! The tubes are not compacted this time, and are working wonderfully as he had no fluid. He also does not have any infections at the moment! The Doctor wants him to stay on the steroid drops as long as he has the tubes in, as he feels they attributed to them working this time. If he's in public water he has to use ear plugs, but if he's at home in the bath not to worry about it. He said that this way his ears learn how to flush themselves, if we plug them every time, they will never learn how. The tubes help the ears to learn how.
And onto Kit Cat's big news!!! Kit Cat has missed soooo much school, probably more days than she's actually been there, because of her asthma and it causing her to get bhroncitus quite frequently, as well as her ear infections (which hopefully are not coming back since the tubes are in there now). But, despite that, yesterday at her school's assembly, my baby girl got the Academic Award for her class!!!! WTG KIT CAT!!! I am so proud of her! What shocked me though, is the complete difference in her! Kit Cat at home is not timid at all...she is very loud and animated! She is also a camera ham and loves attention! Yesterday in the gym, she was so quiet! She sat there and faced forward and paid attention, didn't goof around at all...was just so well behaved! I asked her teacher if it was just because I was there, and she said no! That Kit Cat is definitely one of the quiet ones in the class, that she is very respectful, quiet, and quite shy when new people come into the class room. My daughter?!?! Seriously?!?! Anywhere else you don't even have to look...if you hear noise, there's Kit Cat! Even in the pictures I took of her, she looks like a completely different kid, so timid! Here are some pics from yesterday...and them some of her outside of school so you can see how she normally is! lol
Listening to her Principal speak
Running towards me shy when they called her name
Her teacher came back to take her to the front since she wouldn't go by herself.
Receiving her award from the Principal and teacher.
Running back to me with her award in hand (looking so proud..but still shy)
Kit Cat & her with her award at the end of the ceremony
NOW...for Kit Cat normally at home!
Does anyone else see the complete difference in my daughter at school versus outside of school?! It's amazing!

Hopefully you and I can catch up on monday:) I'm so proud of Caitie too! That is so neat that she got that award even with missing all that school!
