And the saga begins...

So, I've decided that blogging would be a good outlet for me. A few of my girlfriend's have blogs, and I always enjoy reading them. Warning...I am not a professional writer, I am doing this for the fun of it to get my thoughts, feelings, etc. out of my head and somewhere that I can later read and reflect on. I'm going to "attempt" to get on here and do this every day, but you know how it goes when you have 2 kids...wanting to do something and having the time/energy to do it is another story.

I guess I should do a quick introduction. My name is Nicole, but my friends and family call me Cole. I have two kids, Kit Cat (September 4, 2003) and Twister (November 11, 2006). I am married (not really, but after 9 years I think we pretty much qualify as married...just don't have the rings or piece of paper) to Allan . We've had our ups and downs over the course of our relationship, but we have persevered through it all and are stronger than ever. We have a Golden Retriever, Micky. I always tell Allan that I'm with him because of Micky. When we met, he was just a little puppy, and it was love at first site for the two of us! I am a stay at home Mom, and also own my own business (http://www.greetingkeepsakes.com) which enables me to work at home. I am extremely proud of my business as it's something that I have done on my own, I designed the website, built it, and do all of the creative work as well. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment.

Now, enough about the "who is Nicole" crap and onto what I came here to do!

Allan has been working very hard lately, he's got his full time job at Saturn, and he's been delivering pizza at night in order to make ends meet and help to get us ahead. It has been tough, and so far the results of his hard work is barely seen. But, he's doing it all for our family, and I love him for it. It is incredibly stressful for me though as the kids see him not even an hour every single day, which leaves me playing both Mom and Dad until this stage of our life is over. I hate that he is having to miss out on so much with them, especially Tristan as he's so young.

Both kids had surgery a few weeks ago, and Twister just had surgery again last week. We find out this Friday how he's doing after it (if the tubes took or not) and how his hearing is doing. Our dog also tore his crucial ligament a couple weeks ago and has to have surgery to correct it. Needless to say this has all added to my stress level in our house! Hence me requiring some outlet other than a 4 year old who thinks she's 16 and a toddler who can't really respond to what I'm saying!

But, I now hear Allan snoring logs behind me, so I'm going to get to bed myself. I will update tomorrow with the every day episodes of the blogs of my life!
